Within the Third World, there exists another world - the Fourth World. Despite the growing wealth in the developing countries or the Third World, people in the Fourth World live in dire conditions. They lack proper healthcare, education and their basic rights. Tuberculosis is rampant in the Fourth World, but do not have access to proper care. People in the Fourth World are neglected and forgotten.
TB is a disease of poverty. But experts, governmental or non-governmental, often fail to understand the complexities of poverty. Ekta Niketan TB centre reaches out TB patients and families. This section covers their stories, photos and videos.
